Malaysian visa rules require international students to have a health check and Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance once in Malaysia.

We will advise you on how to proceed with the health check at Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) Panel Clinic when you first arrive as part of the Student Pass endorsement process.

We buy your insurance after you accept your study offer and we apply for your Student Pass study visa through EMGS, which handles Student Pass applications for the Ministry of Higher Education.

Cover and benefits

Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance fully covers or contributes toward most hospital charges, including room and board, consultation and surgical fees, intensive care and outpatient services, road ambulance services and reimbursement of tuition fees for lengthy illness (but some maximum limits could apply).

Health check

• All new students are required to undergo Pre-Arrival and Post-Arrival Medical Screening.
• Upon accepting the offer, a copy of medical report has to attach with Acceptance of Offer form and submit to).
• Students have to undergo Post-Arrival Medical Screening 7 days upon arrival in Malaysia. International Student Pass (ISP) office will advise you on how to proceed with the medical screening at Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) Panel Cllinic.
• You must have your medical screening done only at EMGS approved clinics.
